Today’s Lesson
Doing Science At Home
Typically, we at the Fake Science Laboratories highlight a moment in scientific history, like the discovery of grass. But lately, we’ve been providing practical tips for science at home, like how to sterilize your contagious feet, or the best way to eat soap, because soap is the only thing that’s safe. In that tradition, here’s some science you can do at home:
You’ve heard about gravity, but now’s your chance to find some glass and prove that it’s real.
Natural selection — if the squirrels in your backyard are smart, they’ll use this opportunity to breed with you and create Bushy the Human Squirrel, a 3 and a half foot tall shifty son, who shares your love of classic television and looking guilty while eating nuts.
Geology is just a shovel away (if your neighbor is a geologist, you kill him with a shovel, and you steal his collection of books about geology).
Who doesn’t have a passion for Amedeo Avogadro and his wonderful number? It’s finally time to print out this picture of his face.
Put it up in your house. Frame it. This is who you must become. Sculpt your face to reflect this face of science. It may take a while, but you need something to do.
